TAMPA, Fla. (Wire Services) -- Mike Kelley threw three first-quarter touchdown passes -- two to Derrick Crawford -- and the Memphis defense stymied Tampa Bay's as the Showboats cruised to a 38-14 win over the Eastern Conference-leading Bandits.

The triumph was the fourth straight for Memphis since Kelley replaced Walter Lewis -- the USFL'S top-rated passer -- at quarterback and enabled the Showboats (8-5) to move within one game of the Bandits (9-4).
