HOUSTON (UPI) - Frank Seurer drilled JoJo Townsell with a 35-yard touchdown pass with 1:08 remaining in the game to lift Los Angeles over Houston 18-17.

Gamblers cornerback Mike Mitchell had stepped in front of Townsell trying to intercept, but the attempt failed and Townsell sprinted into the end zone.

The win lifted the Express to 2-6, while Houston dropped its third straight and fell to 5-3, a half-game behind Denver, which plays tonight.
