OAKLAND (AP) - Bobby Hebsrt threw for more than 300yards and connected on touchdown passes of 19 and 18 yards to Anthony Carter to lead the Oakland Invaders to a 38-20 win over the Portland Breakers.

Oakland (11-3-1) clinched a playoff berth by winning Its seventh straight. Portland fell to 4-11.

The Invaders broke the game open after leading 21-14 at the half. Hebert completed 4 of his first 5 passes of the second half. He capped the 76-yard, 10-play drive with a 19-yard strike to Carter in front of the goal post to make it 28-14.

The Invaders ran the score to 31-14 on their next possession. Hebert made the big play on the 80-yard drive when he found Gordon Banks near the sideline and the wide receiver cruised 66 yards to the Portland 11. One play later, Jon Williams powered up the middle for the touchdown.
