We are in the process of preserving USFL video. More than three-and-a-half decades have passed since the USFL last played football, and video of its games is in more danger every day of being lost or destroyed. COLLEGE PARK, MD (AP) - The Baltimore Stars held Jacksonville's Mike Rozier to 60 yards rushing Sunday and won the USFL's eighth playoff spot by defeating the Bulls, 17-12.

Rozier, the Heisman Trophy winning running back, is second in the USFL in rushing, behind the New Jersey Generals' Hershel Walker. His 60 yards came on 16 carries. Jacksonville quarterback Brian Sipe threw for 198 yards on 15-of-26 attempts and suffered a separated shoulder when sacked by Mike Walker. He suffered a similar injury in the season-opener.

The Bulls (8-7-0) scored on an 11-yard pass from Ed Luther to runningback Larry Mason to come within 6 with 1:53 left. The 2-point conversion attempt failed.

The Stars (8-7-1) were led by running back Kelvin Bryant's 104 yards on 18 carries and 2 touchdowns and quarterback Chuck Fusina's 166 yards on 19-of-30 passing attempts.

The victory avenged a season-opening 22-14 loss to the Bulls.
