BIRMINGHAM - Cliff Stoudt threw three touchdown passes, two to little Joey Jones, to lead the Birmingham Stallions to a 25-18 victory over the Jacksonville Bulls in a United States Football League game Saturday night at Birmingham.
The victory, before 41,200 fans, gave Birmingham a 5-1 record and increased its Eastern Conference margin over Tampa Bay, 4-2. Jacksonville fell to 2-4.
The 5-foot-10 Jones' only two receptions were on scoring plays of 35 and 14 yards. Stoudt also connected with Jim Smith on a 56-yard touchdown toss. Danny Miller added a 45-yard field goal for Birmingham.
