SAN ANTONIO(AP) -- Quarterback John Reaves tossed for 298 yards and three touchdowns to pace the Tampa Bay Bandits to a 31-18 victory over the San Antonio Gunslingers.
Reaves tied his own franchise record set last season with a string of 12 straight pass completions during the first half and ended up completing 25 of 31 tosses for the game. Wide receiver Eric Truvillion caught two touchdowns on throws of 3 and 32 yards from Reaves.
Truvillion's catches extended a 36-game streak over three seasons of games in which he has caught at least one pass, ranking second in USFL history. Reaves also threw a 54-yard scoring pass to reserve wide receiver Steve Carter.
