WASHINGTON (AP) - The Washington Federals, headed for Miami next season, closed out their stay in the capital Sunday with a 20-17 upset of New Orleans.
Mike Hohensee threw two touchdown passes and Curtis Bledsoe scored on a two-yard run as Washington snapped a five-game losing streak to finish 3-15. Johnny Walton led New Orleans, 8-10, with a pair of scoring tosses, one a 73-yard flea-flicker to Frank Lockett.
