PITTSBURGH(AP) -- Running back Greg Boone raced 80 yards for a touchdown and cornerback Jeff George returned a fumble 51 yards to lead the Tampa Bay Bandits to a 21-9 victory over the Pittsburgh Maulers before 16,832.

Boone's sprint with less than live minutes remaining sealed the victory for playoff bound Tampa Bay (13-4). The Maulers (3-14) played their final home game of their first USFL season. Tampa Bay quarterback John Reaves connected on 15 ol 33 passes for 221 yards, including a 21-yard touchdown pass to running back Gary Anderson. Pittsburgh's scores came on a 7-yard TD run by running back Mike Rozier and a 32-yard field goal by Eric Schubert.
