TEMPE, AZ (Chicago Herald) -- Quarterback Greg Landry hit on 23 of 28 passes for 284 yards and two touchdowns to lead the Arizona Wranglers to a 41-6 rout of the Denver Gold.

Landry,a 17-year veteran, had been benched In Arizona's three previous starts as coach George Allen opted to look at second-year pro Alan Risher. However, he came back with a flourish, connecting on his first nine passes.

The Wranglers' win turned the Pacific Division race Into a wide-open chase.
