LOS ANGELES (AP) - Greg Landry threw three touchdown passes Sunday as the Chicago Blitz made Coach George Allen's homecoming a triumphant one with a 38-17 United States Football League victory over the Los Angeles Express.

Two of Landry's touchdown passes, both to tight end Paul Ricker, came in the opening half as the Blitz shot out to a 24-3 lead at the intermission.

His other touchdown pass was a 9-yarder to Doug Dennison in the final period.

The game, played before a crowd of 21,123, marked a victorious return to the Coliseum for Allen, who formerly had coached the Los Angeles Rams of the National Football League.
