"Well, I don't believe in but there's superstitions, something about it when we score first we win," Oakland coach Charlie Sumner said. "When we don't, we lose. We just try to score first, and I hope this holds true in the playoffs."
The Western Conference champion Invaders, led by the 117-yard rushing performance of John Williams, will carry a league-best 13-4-1 record into the playoffs against Tampa Bay Sunday at Oakland. Houston, which fell to 10-8, will travel to Birmingham to take on the Stallions Saturday.
