MEMPHIS (AP)- Quarterback Mike Kelley ran for one touchdown and passed for another as the Memphis Showboats clinched a playoff spot with a 31-0 bombing of the Jacksonville Bulls.

It was the worst beating of the year for the Bulls, who are now 8-9.

Kelley completed 9 of 14 passes for 117 yards before backup quarterback Walter Lewis took over late in the third quarter.

Meanwhile, the Memphis defense held the Bulls to just 42 yards rushing while the Showboats were rolling up 219 yards on the ground.
