TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) -- Greg Landry threw three touchdown passes -- two going to Trumaine Johnson in the third quarter -- as the Arizona Wranglers beat the Los Angeles Express 35-10 Saturday night and clinched a United States Football League playoff berth.
The Wranglers became a Western Conference wild card with a 10-8 record after notching their fourth straight win.
They will play at Houston next week if the Michigan Panthers win Sunday. If Michigan loses, the Wranglers and Express will meet in a post-season rematch next week in Los Angeles.
Los Angeles, already playoff-bound as Pacific Division champions, wound up the regular season
also at 10-8 after having a five-game winning streak snapped. The Express took the division
title due to their conference record of 7-4 compared to the Wranglers' 5-6.
