PONTIAC, Mich. -- Kelvin Bryant ran for three touchdowns and the Philadelphia Stars turned the rematch of last year's championship game into a mismatch Sunday with a 31-13 victory over the Michigan Panthers before 20,387 fans.
The victory was the Stars' 11th straight, giving them a 13-1 record and a 2 1/2-gamc lead over New Jersey in the USFL's Atlantic Division.
The defending league champion Panthers suffered their third consecutive loss and fell to 7-7, two games behind Central Division leader Houston.
The Stars put the game out of reach in the third quarter when they struck for two touchdowns. The first came immediately after a fumble by Michigan punter Novo Bojovic.
