The victory was the Stars' 11th straight, giving them a 13-1 record and a 2 1/2-gamc lead over New Jersey in the USFL's Atlantic Division.
The defending league champion Panthers suffered their third consecutive loss and fell to 7-7, two games behind Central Division leader Houston.
