Jacksonville, Fla(UPI) - Clarence Verdin returned the opening kickoff 94 yards for a touchdown and Houston's Jim Kelly threw for 362 yards and three touchdowns Friday night as the Gamblers trounced the Jacksonville Bulls 54-7.

Verdin's opening touchdown came only 21 seconds into the game and established a momentum that the Bulls were never able to stop.
