CHICAGO (UPI) - Vince Evans' eight-yard touchdown pass to Kris Haines 6:86 into overtime gave the Chicago Blitz a 16-10 victory over the San Antonio Gunsllngers.

The Blitz took the overtime kickoff and drove 63 yards in eight plays, with Evans finding Kris Haines to cap the drive and give the Blitz their second straight win after losing their first five. The expansion Gunslingers dropped to 1-6.

San Antonio forced the overtime on Rick Neuheisel's 12-yard touchdown pass to Glenn Starks with 31 seconds to go in the fourth quarter. The score was set up by a pass interference call against Chicago's Virgil Livers, on a 4th-and-24 play.

The Blitz scored on their first possession of the game, driving 60 yards in 11 plays. Evans hit Larry Canada with a swing pass from six yards out, and the Blitz fullback scored easily.

Nick Mike-Mayer pulled San Antonio to within 7-3 on a 31- yard field goal with 31 seconds remaining in the half.
