SAN ANTONIO (AP) - Johnnie Walton's 40-yard touchdown pass helped New Orleans to its 13-10 win over yet another stubborn expansion team before an estimated crowd of 18,000 at San Antonio's Alamo Stadium. Rick Neuheisel, most valuable player in this year's Rose Bowl, completed 16 of 26 for 174 yards for the Gunslingers.

Nick Mike-Mayer's 34-yard field goal attempt that could have tied it for San Antonio went wide in a gusting wind with 2:26 left.
